Zapier’s Zap Editor has a help icon at the top (the blue question mark button) which can be really helpful if you’re trying to troubleshoot an issue, and their website includes lots of assistance for its features, but it’s useful to connect with a real human being sometimes!

Help options on the Zapier website
Before we explore the real people you can get in touch with about Zapier, it’s worth listing some of the places on their website where you’ll find help topics.
Firstly, each app has its own specific help section which lists how to get started, common problems and how to deal with specific errors. Some have tutorials too, for step-by-step guides on common features. Here are some examples:
- Xero – https://zapier.com/apps/xero/help
- Gmail – https://zapier.com/apps/gmail/help
- ActiveCampaign – https://zapier.com/apps/activecampaign/help
To find the help for your app, either search for it in Zapier’s app explorer or just Google ‘Zapier *your-app*’ (e.g. Zapier Excel) and then use the Help tab on the app’s landing page.

Zapier also has a help centre, which is accessible from the ‘help’ link in the footer of the website. It’s also available via the Get Help button which is visible on some pages, including the left sidebar of your profile’s homepage.
In the Zapier help centre, you can search for solutions and can find articles on many common troubleshooting issues.
Get help from the Zapier community
Zapier has a user forum which you can access here: https://community.zapier.com/
It is used by Zapier users as well as expert members of their team, so it’s likely someone would have experienced the issue you are facing. You can search for answers to your problem and if you don’t find anything suitable then simply start a new thread.
There are all sorts of useful articles in there too, written by the Zapier team. There are announcements and also a dedicated developers’ area for the more technically-minded users.

Its index is exhaustive and makes it easy to find answers to many common troubleshooting scenarios.

We find that books can be nicer for finding help because you can flick through pages quickly, to pinpoint the section you need. It’s easy to read around a subject too, to get the full picture.
